Quintana RooV-PRi

Triathlon2024Disc brakesNot UCI legal

The V-PRi is Quintana Roo's flagship triathlon bike and the successor to the V-PR, launched in January 2024. Where the V-PR bolts its storage to the outside of the frame, the V-PRi carries a refillable bottle and a gel compartment (FuelBay) inside the frame. It also gets a reshaped fork, Quintana Roo's first integrated cockpit and a UDH derailleur hanger. Every build includes a power meter, and bikes are built to order and sold mostly direct.

Our verdict

No overall score: there's no complete-bike price to rate

Quintana Roo's pick for long-course triathletes who want in-frame hydration and nutrition, a power meter on every build and a seat angle range up to 83°. The integrated cockpit only takes factory-fitted extensions, the fork and fuel system are proprietary, and it isn't UCI legal.

Good to know

  • Design

In its lightest launch configuration (Stealth paint, SRAM RED AXS 1x, Zipp 454/858 NSW wheels) the complete bike weighed 19.32 lb (about 8.76 kg).

    Source
  • Aerodynamics

Quintana Roo's wind tunnel figure is an average 6.2 W saving over the V-PR across a -15° to 15° yaw sweep at 24 mph.

    Source
  • Fit

Sizes run XS to XL. XS and XL arrived in May 2026; at launch the V-PRi came only in S, M and L, roughly matching V-PR sizes 50, 52 and 56.

    Source
  • Compatibility

The Intelligent Integration Cockpit only works with the extensions Quintana Roo fits at the factory, from Profile Design, Vision, Zipp or Fast TT.

    Source
  • Racing

Kristian Høgenhaug rode a V-PRi to a 3:52:10 bike split at Ironman Frankfurt in 2025, averaging 45.7 km/h. Quintana Roo calls it the fastest Ironman bike split ever recorded.

    Source
  • Racing

The V-PRi is not on the UCI's list of approved framesets (August 2026 edition). The only Quintana Roo frames listed are the QRL and SR-Series road bikes, so the V-PRi can't be raced in UCI time trials.

    Source
  • History

Matt Hanson raced a V-PRi prototype at the 2023 Ironman World Championship in Nice before the official launch on 26 January 2024. Starting price at launch was $13,699, rising past $15,000 with the Fit-Ready option.

    Source
  • Versions

Quintana Roo says the V-PRi differs from the V-PR mainly by hiding hydration and nutrition storage inside the frame, plus a few aerodynamic changes. The V-PR mounts its storage outside the frame.
