CanyonSpeedmax CF SLX (5th gen)
Replaced by Canyon Speedmax CF SLX
The CF SLX grade of the disc-brake Speedmax that preceded Canyon's July 2026 relaunch. It shares the CFR's Swiss Side-developed shapes, deep fork with covered calipers, internal HydraPak bladder, hidden toolbox and bento box, but uses a heavier CF-grade frame and Ultegra or 105 Di2, or SRAM Force AXS, builds. Its last builds sat on a raised CP0021 cockpit, and a limited Road to Roth edition in January 2026 came with Zipp wheels and the flat CP0019 cockpit. The XS size used 650b wheels.

Our verdict
Overall
out of 100, average of 7 categories
Most of the 5th-gen CFR's speed and all of its hydration and storage for less money, on a heavier CF-grade frame. Now a clearance or used buy: the last 105 and Ultegra Di2 builds used a raised cockpit, and the fork, cockpit and seatpost are Canyon parts.

History
Canyon replaced this bike with the sixth-generation Speedmax CF SLX in July 2026.
SourceVersions
Canyon launched the Road to Roth edition on 8 January 2026 as a run of 100 bikes at €10,000. Each came with a QR code to buy a Challenge Roth 2026 entry, redeemable for any of the next five editions. It used SRAM Force AXS E1 with a 50T 1x aero chainring, a Zipp 808 front wheel and Super-9 disc, the CP0019 cockpit, bento box and BB toolbox.
SourceVersions
In October 2026 canyon.com still shows the last CF SLX 8 Di2 and 7 Di2 builds and the Road to Roth edition as sold out, with the 8 Di2 and 7 Di2 under Outlet. The product pages mention a power meter on the 8 Di2 and 7 Di2 but the component tables don't list one.
