Aero road20252025 Scylon (2nd generation) ↗Disc brakesUCI legal

TIME's flagship aero race bike, redesigned for 2025 eleven years after the first Scylon. The frame is still braided in TIME's own BCS process and hand-built in Europe, now with fully internal cables, an aero fork with two offsets across the sizes, a rebuilt one-piece Powerbox chainstay and 32 mm tyre clearance. TIME claims 12% less drag (CFD), over 100 g less weight per size and 9% more torsional stiffness than the previous Scylon.

Our verdict

Overall

out of 100, average of 6 categories

For riders who want a hand-built European race bike with TIME's braided-carbon ride and a one-piece Vision cockpit. Its drag claim rests on CFD rather than a wind tunnel, it has a press-fit BB and proprietary seatpost, TIME publishes no frame weight, and it's priced against WorldTour aero bikes.

Good to know

  • Design

The one-piece Powerbox chainstay of the original Scylon was rebuilt from ultra-high-modulus fibre: 20% lighter as a part and with room for 32 mm tyres. The Scylon is TIME's first frameset with two fork offsets (50 mm on XXS-M, 43 mm on L-XL) to keep handling consistent across sizes. Pedalling stiffness is unchanged and torsional stiffness up 9%.

    Source
  • Fit

TIME's geometry chart gives a 73° seat angle and a 470-565 mm seat tube (565 mm on XL) across the six sizes, while the frameset FAQ quotes a seat tube range of 435-560 mm. The chart also lists a shorter wheelbase and front centre on L than on M.

    Source
  • Compatibility

TIME's product pages say most tyres up to 32 mm fit on rims with a 25 mm internal width and recommend 30 mm tyres on 23 mm rims; the frameset FAQ instead says 32 mm on a 23 mm internal rim. Narrower rims (21 mm and below) can cause fit problems with 30-32 mm tyres. Rotors: 140 mm native, 160 mm with an adapter.

    Source
  • Racing

The 2nd-generation frame (TF33 fork) was added to the UCI approved-frames list on 20 May 2026; the original Scylon (TFP02 fork) is listed separately.

    Source
  • History

The Scylon first appeared in 2014 and has been TIME's flagship race platform since. TIME says its engineers spent almost two years on the redesign, which it sells as the 2025 Scylon.

    Source
  • Versions

TIME also sells a 'Cable Ports - Electric/Mechanical Set' for the Scylon, although the frame specification lists electronic groupsets only.
