GiantPropel Advanced
The Propel Advanced is the entry grade of Giant's fourth-generation aero road bike. Its Advanced-grade composite frame has the same AeroSystem Shaping tubes, 32 mm tyre clearance, UDH hanger and Vector aero seatpost as the Advanced Pro, but it gets an Advanced-grade fork and a two-piece Contact SL Aero bar and stem in place of the one-piece cockpit. Giant sells it in three builds, from Ultegra Di2 with carbon wheels down to mechanical 105 on alloy wheels.

Our verdict
Overall
out of 100, average of 6 categories
The cheapest way onto the new Propel: the same 863 g frame, tube shapes and 32 mm clearance as the Advanced Pro, with a two-piece bar and stem that is easier to change. You give up the fork grade and one-piece cockpit, no build has a power meter, Giant publishes no drag figure for this grade, and the 105 build rides on alloy wheels.

Good to know
Design
The Advanced builds keep a two-piece cockpit: a Contact SL Aero handlebar on a Contact SL Aero stem, routed internally through the D-shaped steerer. BikeRadar describes it as the aluminium stem and aero bar carried over from the previous Propel.
SourceAerodynamics
Giant's 18.44 W claim for the new Propel is published for the Advanced SL only; the Advanced shares its AeroSystem Shaping tube profiles and aero bottle cages, but Giant gives no separate drag figure for it. In Giant's parts comparison the Advanced's cockpit weighs 535 g and its wheels 1,690 g, against 283 g and 1,380 g on the Advanced Pro.
SourceFit
The Vector aero seatpost offers -5/+15 mm offset. Each size ships with one bar width and stem length (380 mm and 80 mm on XS up to 420 mm and 120 mm on XL), but the two-piece cockpit lets the stem be swapped separately from the bar.
SourceCompatibility
Giant's product pages don't state UCI approval for the Advanced frame and no approved-frame label is visible in its product photos, so uci_legal is left open.
SourceHistory
Giant launched the fourth-generation Propel in March 2026 in three series: Advanced SL, Advanced Pro and Advanced.
SourceVersions
In Giant's comparison the Advanced frame weighs the same 863 g as the Advanced Pro's, but its Advanced-grade fork is 410 g against 360 g, for a 1,618.5 g frameset with seatpost and clamp. Giant measured 15% less pedalling stiffness and 13.7% less torsional stiffness than the Advanced SL frame and 6.8% less fork stiffness.
SourceVersions
Builds differ by market: Giant UK and Giant Germany sell the Advanced 0, 1 and 2; Giant USA lists only the Advanced 1 and 2, without prices.
