Basso's flagship road bike, the SV (Sempre Veloce, 'always fast'), replaced the Diamante SV in January 2025. It was developed with the 4Performance bike-fit studio for everyday fast riders rather than a WorldTour team: Kamm-tail tubes and a 16% smaller frontal area than the Diamante SV, a higher stack and sloping top tube, 35 mm tyre clearance and a 780 g frame. Every bike is built to order in Basso's configurator with a one-piece Fuga or Levita cockpit.

Our verdict

Overall

out of 100, average of 7 categories

For riders who want an Italian race bike built around fit and comfort: 7 sizes, 18 one-piece cockpit sizes, a light 780 g frame and 35 mm tyre clearance. You give up published wind-tunnel numbers and a standard cockpit option, and it costs as much as WorldTour aero bikes.
