Seatpost typeLOOK Aeropost 5 carbon aero seatpost, 0 mm or 27 mm offsetWilier Filante ID2 carbon aero seatpost (38 x 16 mm), 0 mm offset as standard, 15 mm setback version as a spare part
Fit notesThrough LOOK's configurator: bar widths 380, 400 or 420 mm, stem lengths 80-140 mm in 10 mm steps, 0-50 mm of headset spacers (5 or 10 mm) and two seatpost offsets, which LOOK counts as 350 combinations. The previous Aero Combo Carbon bar also fits. Each of the six sizes has its own geometry and LOOK quotes rider heights of 155 to 200 cm across the range.Wilier's AccuFit system: six frame sizes, seven handlebar width combinations, five stem lengths and two seatposts give 420 fitting positions about 2 mm apart. The F-Bar ID2 has 68 mm reach and 124 mm drop in every size and flares 3 cm from hoods to drops. Wilier says V-Bar, Z-Bar and F-Bar ID1 bars also fit, and with Wilier's adapters all of its other carbon and aluminium handlebars.
Aerodynamics
Manufacturer aero claims15 W less drag than the previous 795 Blade RS for bike and rider at 50 km/h, and 205 W normalised aero drag estimated with TOUR magazine's protocol from LOOK's internal data. LOOK also claims 10% more stiffness at the bottom bracket and head tube than the WorldTour average.Bike alone 13.6% less drag than the Filante SLR ID1 in the Silverstone wind tunnel (CdA 0.0883 vs 0.1016 m² at 50 km/h, 0° yaw); with rider 0.3284 vs 0.3465 m² (-5.2%) at 0° and 0.3564 vs 0.3753 m² at 15°. With the Aerokit it saves 14.15 W at 40 km/h and 28.8 W at 50 km/h with rider, about 1 min 45 s over 70 km at 290 W. Wilier says its average CdA was 2.42% better than five rival WorldTour bikes.
Testing methodCFD optimisation with emphasis on high yaw angles, wind-tunnel tests of the bike alone and with riders of different builds, then validation in a velodrome and on the roadCFD (about three times as many simulations as for the Supersonica SLR), then wind tunnel tests at Silverstone of the bike alone and with a rider
Tube profile—NACA-profile fork legs with a flat inner side; slim tapered head tube; two-part down tube (thin NACA top section, wider lower section shielding the bottles); seatstays angled 2.5° inward
