Marten Van Riel

Belgian triathlete who spent the first part of his career on the Olympic short-course circuit, finishing sixth in Rio and fourth in Tokyo and taking European bronze in 2018. A strong all-rounder, he then moved up to non-drafting racing and won three races on his way to becoming the first T100 World Champion in 2024. He has since stepped up to Ironman, placing fourth at the 2025 World Championship in Nice and winning Ironman Lake Placid in 2026.
