Norwegian triathlete from Bergen who tried cycling, steeplechase and cross-country running before triathlon, and is part of the Bergen group alongside Kristian Blummenfelt and Casper Stornes. A powerful runner, he won back-to-back Ironman 70.3 world titles in 2019 and 2021, raced the Tokyo Olympics and won the 2020 PTO Championship. He took the 2022 Ironman World Championship in Kona in a course record and was second at the 2025 edition in Nice.
