Kristian Blummenfelt
Giant
Kristian Blummenfelt started out as a runner, racing track and cross-country for Bergen clubs before switching to triathlon. A powerful, relentless racer, he peaked on short course with the 2021 world series title and Olympic gold in Tokyo, then moved up in distance and won the Ironman World Championship at his first attempt in St George. In 2022 he became the first person to finish an Ironman-distance triathlon in under seven hours, and he has since added further Ironman and 70.3 world championship medals.
