    Speed Concept SLR (3rd generation)

    SLR (3rd gen)TT (3rd gen)

    • First disc-brake Speed Concept
    • Speed Box replaced by storage inside the top tube and down tube
    • Dual armrest pedestals replace the 2014 mono-pedestal
    • Wider top and down tubes; chainstays 1 cm longer, with clearance for 28-30 mm tyres
    • Stack and reach unchanged (541/426 mm in size L)
    • Trek claims 16 W less drag than the 2014 model, about 6 minutes over the Kona course

  2. 2013-07

    Speed Concept (2014)

    • Deeper frame at the top-tube/seat-tube junction and the seat tube moved closer to the rear wheel
    • One-piece aerobar that slides fore-aft and tilts by loosening two bolts
    • Speed Fin rear brake fairing on the triathlon version
    • Two forks: a UCI-compliant 3:1 fork and a 6:1 triathlon fork that is not UCI legal
    • New storage and hydration accessories: larger Draft Box, Speed Box bento and 2-Pack Aero bottles

  3. 2009-07

    Speed Concept

    • Kammtail Virtual Foil (truncated airfoil) tube shapes
    • Proprietary integrated centre-pull brakes
    • Raced in time trials at the 2009 Tour de France before going on sale
    • Bontrager basebar and seatpost on the 9.9 exceed the UCI 3:1 ratio, so that build is not UCI legal as tested
