CervéloP3X / PX-Series
Newer generation: PX-Series (2019). Specs and test results here are for this earlier bike. What changed
The P3X took the P5X's beam-frame triathlon concept to a lower price in March 2019. Cervélo says the frame is 16% lighter than the P5X's and stiffer at the head tube and bottom bracket, with 3 mm more tyre clearance, replaceable hangers and a lighter fixed basebar and Speed Riser with tilt. Storage includes a StealthBox 300 on the down tube and a SmartPak 600 on the top tube. For 2020 Cervélo also sold the frame as the PX-Series with the P5X's collapsible basebar. Neither is in the current range.

Our verdict
Overall
out of 100, average of 7 categories
A lighter, cheaper take on the P5X's beam frame with storage for long-course racing and a highly adjustable cockpit. It's a used buy now: 11-speed builds, a proprietary front end and storage, and only four sizes, but tyre clearance and replaceable hangers improved on the P5X.

Good to know
Fit
Cervélo's archive lists XL stack as '52' mm, an apparent typo, so the XL stack is left out here.
SourceCompatibility
Cervélo's archive lists 28 mm as the maximum tyre width with 36 mm of frame clearance and a 57T maximum chainring for 2x, and treats the P3X and PX-Series as one frame (2019 onwards).
SourceHistory
BikeRadar reported the P3X on 21 March 2019 in two Ultegra Di2 builds at $10,000 / €9,999 and $8,000 / €7,999, with UK pricing to be confirmed.
SourceVersions
For 2020 Cervélo offered the PX-Series, which AeroGeeks described as the P3X frame with the P5X's collapsible basebar, in Dura-Ace Di2 ($12,000) and SRAM AXS ($12,500) builds; the P5X name was dropped.
