Geraint Thomas
Welsh rider from Cardiff who started cycling at 10 with the Maindy Flyers and first made his name on the track, winning Olympic team pursuit gold in 2008 and 2012. He then rebuilt himself as a Grand Tour rider whose strong time trialling underpinned his 2018 Tour de France victory, followed by second in 2019 and third in 2022.
